Summary

  • complete full and named sync semantics, including scoped pruning, retained history, exact order, and duplicate occurrences
  • add offline interactive matching and explicit two-argument association replacement
  • make the global --dry-run guarantee cover plugin state, the beets library, and playlistmanager storage
  • replace the README and AGENTS guidance with the implemented SPEC.md architecture and command set
  • finish removal/documentation cleanup for the out-of-scope legacy commands

Issue #34 is intentionally not closed: its real-library acceptance run is deferred at the maintainer's request.

  • 95 passed
  • focused Ruff check passed for every changed Python/test file
  • python -m compileall -q beetsplug tests

  • isolated BEETSDIR smoke test shows only status, list-playlists, list-tracks, sync, and match, with global --dry-run
